Mobile Walk-in Vaccination Clinic Opens in Manchester City Centre

Well Pharmacy, the UK’s largest independent pharmacy chain, has today launched a mobile health clinic in Manchester city centre, offering Covid vaccinations to city workers and shoppers.

One of the only walk-in vaccination sites in Manchester city centre, the launch comes following the Government’s stated goals of vaccinating 1 million people per day and for every adult to be offered the vaccination before the end of December.

Ifti Khan, Pharmacy Superintendent at Well Pharmacy said: “We’re delighted to launch our mobile health clinic in Manchester city centre and urge those who are eligible to come down and get their vaccine as soon as possible. Covid-19 is still prevalent across the UK and the vaccine remains the best way of reducing serious illness for those who catch it.

“Community pharmacy has played a vital role in the roll-out of the vaccination programme as well as taking some of the pressure off the NHS over the last 18 months. On behalf of Well Pharmacy, I would like to take this opportunity to thank pharmacy workers across the UK for the sacrifices they have made since the beginning of the pandemic”.

The mobile vaccination clinic will be parked opposite Albert’s Shed in Castlefield and will be offering walk-in/no appointment covid vaccinations from 09:00 – 17:00 on the 20th – 24th December and 29th – 31st December. The mobile health bus will reopen on the 4th January, at which point Well hope to be able to extend the opening hours.
